The Whitehouse Consultancy shortlisted for the PRCA Europe Awards

The Whitehouse Consultancy has been shortlisted for the PRCA Europe Awards for its campaign on behalf of European Specialists Sports Nutrition Association (ESSNA) to tackle non-compliance and improve consumer-education in the category: Trade Body Campaign of the year.

The non-compliance campaign is reaping success after success being run for already the fifth year across the EU, targeting manufacturers, distributors and retailers who fall short of industry standards. Whitehouse’s work has also revealed and information gap in the industry, showing that many consumers have not fully understood the best uses and the real benefits of sports nutrition products.

Through its work with ESSNA’s members, Whitehouse has contributed to the creation of a safer sports nutrition marketplace for consumers, the forging of crucial links with key political stakeholders who now turn to ESSNA as the ultimate expert in the sector, and a decrease in illegal products on the market, having dealt with more than 450 non-compliance alerts.

The reduction in unfair commercial practices has improved ESSNA members’ business prospects and helped key European bodies carry out their work efficiently and effectively. The campaign has gained traction and interest across the continent and we are already seeing other associations starting to engage in similar activities.

The Whitehouse Consultancy will continue the hard work by spreading good practice and values such as business responsibility and liability for a safer environment for both manufacturers and consumers in the food sector.

The awards ceremony will take place on 21st November in Brussels.
