Speaking today on the result of the Scottish referendum, Chris Whitehouse, Chairman of The Whitehouse Consultancy says: “Today is a joyous day for the Union, a tremendous result despite Labour’s lack-lustre campaign to get out its voters in Scotland. Sterling is up, the stock markets are up, just think what might have happened if Scotland had voted Yes: our economy would be going to Hell in a hand-cart! What we must now do is end the occupation of English politics by Scots MPs who have no mandate to decide on matters relating only to England.”
