The Health Service Journal (£) has revealed the results of a study on the Friends and family test showing it is unreliable as a comparison tool because of the different data collection methods employed by different trusts, as well as demographic differences. It is understood that NHS England will publish revised guidance for trusts on how they collect data and use the test.
