The Howard League for Penal Reform has called on G4S and Serco to be banned from bidding for public projects. The group, which campaigns for reforms to the justice system, has compiled a dossier documenting a “litany of failure” by the two companies. The move is a protest against ministers’ decision to allow G4S and Serco to resume bidding for contracts while the Serious Fraud Office continues its investigation.
