LGA calls for review into public services

Sir Merrick Cockell, Chairman of the Local Government Association (LGA) has called for a fundamental reform of the way the public sector works and for a review into how public services are provided. Sir Merrick has argued that given that council budgets have been cut significantly the public are starting to question why councils are having to reduce and withdraw from providing the services that underpin people’s daily lives.
