Schools Minister defends plans to give free meals to all infant schools

Schools Minister David Laws MP has said that the government’s plans to give free meals to all infant school pupils in England will happen on time. This was in response to the Chairman of the Education Committee, Graham Stuart MP, who said schools would struggle to deliver policy and more planning was needed. However, David Laws MP said free meals would go ahead as planned and added that the policy would have a “positive” effect.
