Adviser warns Government on A-Level changes

The Government’s Chief Scientist, Sir Mark Walport, has warned the Prime Minister against a move to stop practical experiments counting towards science A-levels. Sir Mark has written to the exams regulator Ofqual, with David Cameron and other ministers also sent copies, to warn that the idea will lead to “further downgrading” of British Skills.
