David Cameron backs smoking in car ban

It’s been reported that the Prime Minister has come out in favour of a ban on smoking in cars with children. The Prime Minister’s spokesman has said he believes “the time for this kind of approach has come.” Cabinet ministers are expected to be split on the issue, but Downing Street has suggested that the Prime Minister could miss the vote if he does not return from a trip to flood-hit Somerset in time.
