MPs claim public sector using gagging clauses and payoffs to hide failure

The Public Accounts Committee has found that public sector organisations are spending millions on “special severance payments”. Margaret Hodge MP, Chair of the Commons Public Accounts Committee, has expressed deep concern over the use of confidentiality clauses in compromise agreements to cover up.
