No housing benefit for jobless migrants

Theresa May and Iain Duncan Smith have written an article in the Daily Mail announcing that unemployed immigrants will not be able to claim housing benefit. The Home Secretary and Work and Pensions Secretary say the policy will stop newcomers taking “unfair advantage” of the welfare system. Iain Duncan Smith said the crackdown would hit those who “want to do a bit of benefit tourism and come from one country to another just to get the better benefits system”.
