It’s been claimed that NHS bosses are chasing “hit and run” health tourists treated in hospitals for at least £15 million. Hospital chiefs have already written off more than £2 million of the debts as unrecoverable. The £15 million is calculated from data released by 102 of 160 NHS trusts.
