Report finds temporary appointments rose at the fastest rate since 1998

A new report has suggested that job vacancies have increased at the sharpest rate for over six years. The Recruitment and Employment Confederation said vacancies for temporary jobs increased strongly last month, at its fastest pace for 15 years. Salaries paid to workers in permanent positions increased at the fastest pace since February 2008. The biggest increase in staff being placed by recruitment agencies was in the North of England, with the slowest in London.
