Laura works in Whitehouse’s Media and Public Relations team, leading on securing coverage for clients in the third sector, nutrition and health sectors among others, to help them meet business objectives. Prior to joining Whitehouse, Laura has worked for political parties as campaign organizer. She currently runs her own petition-led campaign to end the ‘luxury’ taxation levy implemented on period products (www.change.org/endtampontax) which has been signed by 320,000 people and changed UK and EU law. She is a member of the Government Equalities Office’s Period Poverty Task Force and had her first book ‘Speak Up!’, a campaign guide for rebel girls, was published for international women’s day this year.
Laura graduated from the University of Oxford, St Catherine’s College, with an MA in Women’s Studies. Her thesis focused on women in war and on the frontline of international conflict. Outside of work, Laura is a fan of spicy food, swimming and travelling.
